(2017 - 2018)
This project analyzes family farming, agricultural accessibility, and the economy of Colombian farmers to emphasize the effectiveness of traditional tools in the field, particularly the Angarilla horse pack saddle, and how its effect can be enhanced through modular design.
Academic project; Cali, COL.
Garilla is a system designed to facilitate the transportation of crops using horses as a means of transport. It consists of three interconnected modules that can hold up to four baskets, evenly distributing the weight over the horse to minimize movement during transport to the collection point.
Using a 3D printed prototype, various stress and load tests were conducted, successfully demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing crop losses during the transportation of goods in rural areas, which indirectly contributes to improving the quality of life for farmers in the studied region.
